BJJ Academies in France.
France runs Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the Confédération Française de Jiu Jitsu Brésilien (CFJJB) — the sole official body representing BJJ in France for over two decades. In 2021, the CFJJB joined France Judo (FFJDA) under an agreement intended to give BJJ more institutional recognition while preserving its autonomy. France is one of Europe's strongest BJJ markets, with reported 35,000+ practitioners.
Paris is the competition and team-affiliate hub. Atos Jiu-Jitsu Paris is led by head coach and founder Gary Bilal — a state-certified trainer and BJJ black belt — at 26 Boulevard Ferdinand Buisson in Neuilly-sur-Marne. The parent Atos organization was built in 2008 by Andre Galvão and Ramon Lemos. Other Paris-area training rooms include Maccabi Paris in the 10th arrondissement near République, and Icon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
