The flagship events span Brisbane and the Gold Coast: the Qld State Championship at Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre (Carrara), the Gold Coast Championship at Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium, the Brisbane Open at Nissan Arena (590 Mains Rd, Nathan), plus the Brisbane Championship and the East Coast Australian Championship.

The major lineage map mirrors the Brisbane / Gold Coast split. Atos BJJ Brisbane ("Mota-Vation") sits at Suite 2, 530 Milton Rd in Toowong under head coach Antonio Mota — a black belt under André Galvão and the team's official Australian affiliate. Lemos Jiu Jitsu Brisbane is led by Bruno Lemos, a 4th-degree black belt under Alexandre Paiva of Alliance. CAZA BJJ Brisbane runs out of Morningside. Multiple Gracie Barra schools cover the Brisbane belt, including Gracie Barra Capalaba.

The Gold Coast hosts Carlson Gracie Gold Coast under Fabio "Brenda" (black belt under Alvaro "Ganso" and Otavio "Peixotinho", opened 2015), Gracie Barra Burleigh Heads under Pedro Rodrigo, Galeb Brothers BJJ in Mermaid Waters under Fabio Galeb (4th-degree black belt, BJJ since 1995), and Integrated MMA under Adrian Pang (1st-degree black belt under Luiz Tannuri).
