Uusimaa — the Finnish region containing Helsinki and Espoo — runs nearly the entire Finnish BJJ scene. The Finnish Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (bjjliitto.fi) maintains the country's accredited-academy roster from the region.

Buli Jiu-Jitsu — affiliated with Brasa under the "Brasa HKI" branding — runs two Helsinki rooms in the Vallila district (Vallilan Konepaja and Urhea-halli). Art of Ground Games (AOGG) operates 50+ weekly classes across three academies in Helsinki and Espoo. Other Helsinki-area accredited academies include Barreto Helsinki, DOJO Ry, GB Gym Helsinki, Flow Combat, and Combat Society. Rebel Team runs an established BJJ school in Herttoniemi.
