Sweden's BJJ scene runs under Svenska Brasiliansk Jiu-Jitsu Förbundet (SBJJF) — established in 2008 and operating as a sub-federation of Svenska Budo & Kampsportsförbundet (SB&K) since 2009. The SBJJF maintains the country's accredited-academy roster and runs the Swedish national circuit.

Stockholm anchors the country's scene. Encourage Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the Stockholm headquarters of the team led by Alan "Finfou" do Nascimento — the Checkmat black belt and longtime coach of IBJJF World Champion Adam Wardziński. 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu STHLM was the first official 10th Planet academy in Europe. Stark Jiu Jitsu runs two Stockholm rooms near Odenplan station, at Frejgatan 26 and Norrtullsgatan 20. Hilti Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Stockholm and Stockholm BJJ-Center run additional accredited rooms in the capital.

In Malmö, Limitless Malmö and Fightzone Malmö carry the country's southern BJJ surface.
