BJJ Academies in Thailand.

Thailand's BJJ scene is shaped by the country's role as Asia's combat-sports tourism capital — a long-running churn of competitors and travelers passing through Phuket and Bangkok for camps lasting weeks to months at a time.

Phuket's "Fight Street" in Chalong is the country's BJJ-tourism epicenter. Tiger Muay Thai's BJJ program is led by head MMA coach Joseph Henle — a black belt under former IBJJF World Champion Fabio Leopoldo. Phuket Top Team sits opposite Tiger on the same road. Phuket Grappling Academy is run by Ben Royle and runs winning teams in both kids' and adult competition divisions. Bangtao Muay Thai & MMA in northern Phuket runs gi and no-gi BJJ alongside Muay Thai and MMA.

In Bangkok, Bangkok Fight Lab is owned and operated by black belt Morgan Perkins; the academy is a certified affiliate of the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association and sits about 10 minutes' walk from On Nut BTS. The capital's expat community keeps consistent training partners on the mat year-round.
