Berlin is Germany's BJJ destination for European outposts of top Brazilian teams. The city's role is as a landing pad for international team affiliates — both Checkmat and Cicero Costha's PSLPB run Berlin branches.

BJJ Fightzone Checkmat Berlin sits at Marktstraße 6 in Friedrichshain (Ostkreuz), affiliated with the São Paulo–origin Checkmat team. Cicero Costha PSLPB Berlin runs out of Ringside Gym Berlin at Herzbergstraße 87-99 in Lichtenberg, an affiliate of Cícero Costha's São Paulo HQ in Ipiranga (the academy that produced Leandro Lo and the Miyao brothers). Other Berlin BJJ rooms span the city's broader expat and competition-tourism scene.
