BJJ Academies in Greece.
Greece runs Brazilian jiu-jitsu under the Hellenic Ju Jitsu Federation (EFEO), the country's national governing body for Ju-Jitsu and BJJ. The federation runs the Greek National BJJ Cup (the 2025 edition was held November 29–30 in Lamia). The AJP Tour Greece National Jiu-Jitsu Championship — gi and no-gi — is held in Athens annually; the 2026 edition is set for June 6, 2026.
Athens is the country's BJJ center of gravity. David Dimopoulos Said — a 4th-degree black belt under Fabio Gurgel and Fernando "Soluço" Di Pierro — runs Rock Jiu Jitsu Athens at Souliou 10, Aghios Dimitrios. He founded the Rock Sports Club in 2016; the academy carries the Alliance affiliation and is one of the longest-running BJJ rooms in the country. Primal Art Academy / Zr Team Greece in Athens is led by black belt Nikolas Polydoros. Maverick Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy operates out of Lykovrisi, Athens.
