BJJ Academies in Indonesia.

Indonesia's BJJ scene is overseen by the Federasi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Indonesia (FBJJI). The federation traces back to Niko Han — a Rickson Gracie black belt and founder of Synergy BJJ MMA Academy. Niko trained under Rickson Gracie in Los Angeles before establishing Synergy on July 28, 2003 — Bali's first BJJ and MMA academy, and an Official Rickson Gracie Team and Jiu-Jitsu Global Federation Certified Academy. Synergy now has approximately 35 affiliated academies across Indonesia.

DW Jiu-Jitsu was founded by Deddy Wigraha — current FBJJI president — who brought BJJ to Indonesia in 1998. Jakarta hosts Gracie Barra Indonesia (established 2017, headquartered at L'Avenue Offices and Residences, South Jakarta) and GRIND Jiujitsu Indonesia (Food Centrum Lt. 2, Sunter Agung, Jakarta Utara). Bali, anchored by Synergy, is the country's BJJ-tourism hub.
