Kavanagh was awarded Ireland's first BJJ black belt in 2007 and is now a 3rd-degree black belt; SBG's Inchicore HQ has produced multiple high-level competitors and MMA fighters, most notably former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor, Aisling Daly, Gunnar Nelson, and Dillon Danis.
