BJJ Academies in Netherlands.
The Netherlands' BJJ scene runs primarily under BJJ Federatie Nederland (BJJFNL, bjj.nl) — the country's main BJJ federation, which manages competitions and a roster of accredited academies. Judo Bond Nederland (JBN) provides parallel coverage as the country's traditional combat-sports umbrella. The annual BJJ Dutch Open is one of the country's longest-running domestic events.
Amsterdam is the country's BJJ hub. Carlson Gracie Amsterdam at Burgemeester de Vlugtlaan 125 is led by head instructor Marcos Flexa — a 6th-degree Carlson Gracie black belt, awarded directly by Master Carlson Gracie in 1997 — who founded the academy in 2002. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Amsterdam is described on its site as the first Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Certified Training Center in the Netherlands. BJJAA (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy Amsterdam) was founded in 2014. Focus Jiu Jitsu sits in Amsterdam Oost, and DODO Jiu Jitsu is in central Amsterdam. Team Agua runs locations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Den Haag.
