Singapore is one of Asia's most concentrated BJJ markets, with the country's surface anchored by Evolve MMA — Asia's first and only Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliate. Evolve runs five Singapore academies: Far East Square, KINEX, Orchard Central, Clarke Quay, and Star Vista.

The national governing body is the Singapore Ju-Jitsu Association (SJJA), established in 1999 as a non-profit covering all five ju-jitsu disciplines. SJJA's affiliated BJJ gym roster includes Evolve MMA, Carpe Diem BJJ Singapore (the Singapore branch of Yuki Ishikawa's Tokyo-headquartered network), Gentle Art Academy, Fortitude Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Field Assembly, Kairos Academy, Tricolor MMA, MK Academy, MatLife, Maverick Martial Arts, Neue Fit, Shogun Fight Gym, and Singapore Submission Grappling.
