As a city-state, Singapore's BJJ surface is identical to its national scene — anchored by Evolve MMA, Asia's first and only Renzo Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliate, with five Singapore academies: Far East Square, KINEX, Orchard Central, Clarke Quay, and Star Vista.

The Singapore Ju-Jitsu Association (SJJA), established 1999, is the country's national governing body. SJJA-affiliated BJJ rooms include Carpe Diem BJJ Singapore (the Singapore branch of Yuki Ishikawa's Tokyo-headquartered network), Gentle Art Academy, Fortitude Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Field Assembly, Kairos Academy, MK Academy, MatLife, Maverick Martial Arts, Neue Fit, Shogun Fight Gym, Tricolor MMA, and Singapore Submission Grappling.
